This statement covers the Pic2Mag and PlayMagnet family of apps — including PlayMagnet for iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac, and Windows, and the Pic2Mag Science Fair edition for Windows.
Pic2Mag and PlayMagnet software do not collect any intentional information from their users. The programs are designed to let a user draw a magnet array or load an image file from a local file system, process that image, and then save the resulting field images to the device's pictures folder.
Present software has no internet usage of any kind. The program is, quite literally, a graphical user interface tied to a magnetic field calculation library. Neither part of the program uses the internet.
In other words, when Pic2Mag or PlayMagnet software runs, from the software's viewpoint all resources are local on the device and there is no remote communication of any kind.
No intentional information is collected from users. None. We say intentional because the app store you bought the software from has its own privacy policy and makes general sales reports and other generic business analytics available to the authors of the app.
It is the policy of the Pic2Mag business not to collect personal information from users, and the present software has no programmed capacity to do so.
No personal information is collected; hence, there is no need to store it. The information is protected by not collecting it.
Pic2Mag software is a department of Revolution-Labs. The owner of the business is the author of the software.

There are no cookies, log files, or tracking capacity within Pic2Mag or PlayMagnet software. Any debugging (crash) logs on a user's device stay on the user's device.
The pic2mag.com website itself does not use cookies. As is common practice for security, the website hosting provider does record basic HTTP request information such as IP addresses.
There is no need to opt out of data collection, because there is no intentional data collection and no capacity for it within the software. Pic2Mag and PlayMagnet software are not programmed to collect data in any form or function, other than accepting file names for naming new files within a local file system.
